Green & Gold Community Garden COVID-19 Update

To all of our Green and Gold Garden supporters and friends;
The snow has finally melted and, along with the warmer temperatures, we are anxious to get into the garden for our 12th season! However, with the COVID 19 pandemic, our 12th season will bear little resemblance to our usual operations that we, and you, have become accustomed to! But be assured, that we will have a garden season—though it will be adapted to adhere to our current realities and safety concerns.
The Core Committee of the GGG has been gathering information and having virtual meetings and discussions regarding how to organize the garden operation, and our sales, to insure the safety and health of our volunteers and customers. We have been looking at the government guidelines for physical distancing, as well as reviewing the best practices of a number of community gardens re: effective disinfection of tools, hand sanitizing etc.
We appreciate your continued interest and support for GGG and the women of Rwanda and look forward to seeing you, as we embark on this modified season. We will continue to review and discuss directives and information and keep you updated as to how, and when, the garden will be operating this summer.
Stay well.
The Core Committee of the Green and Gold Garden
